It and They... (Reflections of a writer) GD 6-7-201

It seems, sometimes, that there are dark storm clouds that ascend and claim the blueness of sky for extended periods of time, and during those moments it gets hard to believe that there will ever be sunshine again, but we know that there will be because, eventually, the transformation from gray to white occurs.

When the scent of a recent rainfall fills the essence of air it smells clean and we feel renewed.  Over the years I've learned to appreciate unpleasant times and I deem them as purposeful events, for within them faith expands and in the aftermath there is always reason and a lesson that has been learned.

Emerging from rocky episodes that have pummeled the spirit are exhausting experiences, but when I look back on each and every one they always remind me of where I've been and what I've made it through.  Had I succeeded in cashing in all of my chips during the darkest moments of despair, I would have never been able to receive the blessings that came as a result of perseverance.

Every day above ground makes us all survivors.  I am constantly reminding myself to never take anything or anybody for granted, because in the blink of an eye it and they could all be gone.

It is a blessing to have family, friends, & a life to live.

They are all priceless luxuries in life.

The conversation I had with my cousin this morning, and the one I had last night with a good friend, and the ones I had the last week with my aunt, and the ones prior that I had with my mother, sister, niece & nephew...

Those and They are Priceless....
